Lady Gaga is the singer of this year’s National Anthem at the 2016 Super Bowl and she couldn’t stop gushing about what an honor the opportunity is for her. As The Star-Spangled Banner is the epitome of what America is about, Gaga had hoped to do her country proud at Super Bowl 50. She took the field, decked out in a red, shimmery suit, with red glitter eyeshadow. She also wore platform stilettos that resembled the American flag. Even her stage earpiece had rhinestones on them.
As Gaga sang, deaf actress Marlee Matlin signed the words to the song.
This is not Gaga’s first time singing the National Anthem at a major event as she previously sang the emblematic tune for NYC Pride. Check out her rendition from the Pride Rally at Pier 26 on Friday June 28, 2013 below.
Let’s give it up for Gaga.
