Liverpool hope to correct their run of poor form against the bottom team in the Premier League.
After a crushing midweek loss to West Ham in FA Cup action, Liverpool are now winless in five matches across all competitions. Klopp’s men have slid to 11th in the league table, but could shoot back up to 8th with three points over Aston Villa today.
Remi Garde has kept the fight in Aston Villa, who are eight points below the drop but building momentum. Villa has gone 2-2-1 in their last five league matches, keeping clean sheets in three. Last weekend saw Villa beat Norwich at home, who coincidentally are the last league team Liverpool defeated in a wild 5-4 match three weeks ago.
Today’s contest airs live on NBC Sports Network at 12:30 p.m. Eastern. UK Viewers can watch the match on Sky Sports 1.
