WATCH: Ronda Rousey Thought About Killing Herself

Prior to UFC 193, Ronda Rousey, 29, was on top of the world. With a movie career blooming and a potential Wrestlemania 32 matchup in the works, the sky was the limit for Rousey.

However, that all changed on November 14, 2015 when the so-called “The Baddest Woman on the Planet” suffering a devastating loss to Holly Holm.

While it was a given that Rousey’s first defeat wouldn’t leave her in a good mood, she told Ellen DeGeneres on Tuesday that she had suicidal thoughts.

As seen in the video above, Rousey broke down emotionally on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. She admitted that Holm’s first blow caught her off-guard and loosened her teeth. The former UFC Womem’s Bantamweight champion told DeGeneres that while she wasn’t making excuses for her loss, she was physically tired from fighting three times in nine months.

However, it was her surprising confession to Ellen that caught viewers by surprise:

“In the medical room, I was down in the corner, I was sitting in the corner and I was like ‘what am I anymore if I’m not this? And I was literally sitting there and thinking about killing myself in that exact second, I’m nothing. Like what do I do anymore? And no one gives a sh** about me anymore without this.”

Rousey stated that it was the thought of one day having boyfriend Travis Browne‘s babies that snapped her out of it.

“To be honest, I looked up and saw my man Travis was standing there and I was looked up at him and I was just like, ‘I need to have his babies. I need to stay alive.'”

Although no rematch date has been set in stone, Rousey made it very clear that she’d like one against Holm, who expressed that she’s willing to fight her as long as she’s still “passionate” about MMA.
