Notre Dame stumbled late this season, but were good enough in ACC play to earn a six seed in this years bracket. The problem is they;ll have to wait to know their opponent, as Michigan and Tulsa will meet in a First Four matchup for the 11 seed in the East. Notre Dame was 11-11 against the RPI top 150 this year, but defeated Duke twice and beat North Carolina at home to boost their resume.
Michigan are 5-7 in their last 12, and have an 11-0 record against teams below the RPI top 150. The Golden Hurricanes of Tulsa lost by 22 to Memphis in the AAC tournament, but have snuck in the tournament after going 12-6 in their conference with a 61st-ranked RPI.
