After entering the 2015-16 campaign as the preseason No. 3 team in the land, Maryland has fallen short of expectations, grabbing a No. 5 seed in the Big Dance after finishing in a tie for third in the Big Ten.
Nevertheless, with Melo Trimble, Diamond Stone and Robert Carter, the Terrapins have as much talent as anyone in the land and are certainly capable of making a deep March run.
Their first test won’t be an easy one, as they’re matched up against South Dakota State.
