United States vs. Colombia: Time, Channel, & USYNT Lineup

(Getty)

The USA U-23 squad got an important away goal in the first leg against Colombia, and they could end the day qualified for the 2016 Olympics with a win tonight at Toyota Stadium in Frisco. That being said, Colombia dominated the match on Friday, outshooting USA 26-6 and controlling possession. Without their starting goalkeeper, USA will need to mount a better offensive attack rather than settling for an away goal advancement.

Ethan Horvath was injured during USA’s first leg, and the starter in goal tonight is unknown. Manager Andi Herzog has two options to choose from: Tyler Miller, who is signed to Seattle Sounders, and Cody Cropper, who plays overseas with MK Dons. USA were able to notch an early goal and sit back in Colombia, but they’ve got the firepower should Colombia do the same in Texas. It’s worth noting that although Colombia registered 26 shots in the first leg, it wasn’t until Rafael Borre drew a penalty in the 67th minute that Colombia scored their only goal.
