Liverpool vs. Everton: Time, Channel & Lineup

(Getty)

The last time there was a Merseyside derby, Brendan Rodgers was the Liverpool manager. Now Jurgen Klopp looks to make his mark on the 226th edition of the rivalry, with much at stake for his squad.

Liverpool aren’t exactly on track for Champions League qualification, but they haven’t ruled it out just yet. A win today would put them up to 54 points, potentially two points behind Manchester United with a game in hand. They also have a Europa League semifinal next week, making this a critical stretch in Klopp’s first season at Anfield.

For Everton it’s another disappointing season for a talented squad. The Toffees might be caught looking ahead to an FA Cup semifinal with United, as they are firmly mid-table in the Premier League standings. Everton are currently 11th with 41 points, but could find themselves as low as 16th by the end of the week.
