The Players Championship 2016 Odds & Field

With a whopping $10.5 million purse, 600 FedEx Cup points on the line and a historic setting at TPC Sawgrass, it’s no wonder THE PLAYERS Championship is often referred to as golf’s unofficial fifth major.

And the 2016 field is certainly indicative of that.

All 20 of the world’s top players will be in attendance, Jordan Spieth and Danny Willett are among several big names playing for the first time since the Masters in April and it’s as stacked of a field as you’ll see all year.

Spieth, despite his meltdown at Augusta the last time out, enters as the co-favorite with Rory McIlroy, who has been in the Top 10 here the past three years. World No. 1 Jason Day comes in just behind them, while Willett is awfully intriguing at 40-to-1.
