Coming off a thorough 124-92 dismantling in Game 1 of the Western Conference semifinals, the San Antonio Spurs will look to take a 2-0 series lead over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday night.
Led by a combined 63 points on 36 shots from Lamarcus Aldridge and Kawhi Leonard, the Spurs shot a blistering 60.7 percent from the field in Saturday night’s series opener. And the defense was just as impressive, stifling Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook and limiting the pair of All-Stars to just 30 total points on 34 shot attempts.
It was one of the most impressive all-around performances of the year, and it’s going to be intriguing to see how the Thunder, who went 2-2 against the Spurs during the regular season, will bounce back.
