The Golden State Warriors and Oklahoma City Thunder are headed to a Game 6.
Thanks goodness.
Considering just how entertaining both of these teams are, and just how scintillating most of their matchups tend to be, it would have felt like a major disappointment if the series ended in five games with a handful of those contests being blowouts.
But the Dubs avoided elimination on Thursday, and now they face the tall task of winning in Oklahoma City, where they’ll enter as a underdog.

This marks just the fifth time all season the Warriors have been an underdog. They’ve gone 3-1 straight-up in the previous four games, which is a positive sign for their hopes of staving off elimination again, but on the flip side, they’ve lost the last two games in Oklahoma City by a combined 54 points. In their one game at OKC during the regular season, they entered as three-point favorites and came away with the three-point win thanks to Steph Curry’s heroics.
With OKC’s recent dominance at home, though, a whopping 66 percent of the bets against the spread are coming in on the Thunder, per OddsShark.
The over-under has been lower than 220 twice this series (Game 3 and 5), and both times the over has hit. Overall, however, in seven meetings between these teams this year, the over has hit just three times.
