French Open 2016: Serena Williams’ Second Round Opponent

Serena Williams made quick work of her first round opponent in the 2016 French Open.

The women’s top seed needed just 42 minutes to beat Slovakian Magdalena Rybarikova 6-2, 6-0 on Tuesday at Roland Garros.

In the second round, the 21-time Grand Slam winner next faces Teliana Pereira, a 27-year-old Brazilian who defeated Kristyna Pliskova 7-5, 3-6, 9-7 in her opening match.

Pereira is No. 81 in the WTA singles rankings and has 2 career titles. She is 3-13 in singles action this year.

The match date and time has yet to be determined.
