Carlos Santana to Sing the National Anthem for NBA Finals Game 2

It’s deja vu for tonight’s NBA Finals game. Like last year, Carlos Santana will perform the National Anthem before the Game 2 with the Golden State Warriors up one game over the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Santana will perform with his wife Cindy Blackman on drums. The legendary guitarist is a Bay Area resident and a longtime fan of the Warriors. Cindy Blackman hails from southwest Ohio, about three hours from Cleveland.

The 10-time Grammy Award winner was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998. He was a recipient of the Kennedy Center Honors Award in 2013 and received the Billboard Latin Music Awards’ 2009 Lifetime Achievement honor.

John Legend performed the National Anthem before Game 1. Warriors beat the Cavaliers by a score of 104-89.

Coverage of Game 2 begins at 7:30 p.m. ET on ABC. Game 2 will have the earliest start time of the seven-game series, beginning at 8 p.m. ET.
