Copa America’s opening match was just a small taste of what’s to come, as Saturday brings a full slate of Copa America action to soccer fans. Saturday is the only day of the tournament to have three matches take place, and it ends with two of South America’s top teams.
Scroll below to see more about Saturday’s action from Groups A&B:
Costa Rica vs. Paraguay
Time: 5:00 p.m. Eastern
Channel: Fox & Univision
Preview: The other two teams in Group A start the second day of the tournament, as Costa Rica will face a tough test against Paraguay. Already without star keeper Keylor Navas, Costa Rica will spend most of the match defending against talented Paraguay attackers like Derlis Gonzalez. A defensive team by nature, Costa Rica will be satisfied with one point in what should be a tense group stage.
Haiti vs. Peru
Time: 7:30 p.m. Eastern
Channel: Fox Sports 2 & Univision
Preview: The first dud of Copa America. Haiti and Peru are both longshots to contend at Copa America, and the teams will have a hard time advancing out of Group B. Peru finished third in last year’s tournament, but star players from that squad are no longer on the roster. Haiti is the lowest ranked team in the tournament according to FIFA.
Brazil vs. Ecuador
Time: 10:00 p.m. Eastern
Channel: Fox Sports 1 & Univision
Preview: Ecuador shot to the top of World Cup qualifying earlier this year, after surprising wins over Uruguay and Argentina. Brazil are loaded with talent as usual, but it’s not the familiar names you expect. Youngsters fill up Dunga’s squad, with Willian the only Brazilian on the roster currently playing in the Premier League. Neymar is headed to the Olympics, and Douglas Costa is out with an injury.
