France are favored to win Wednesday in Marseille, but it won’t be easy against a feisty Albanian team. They’ve met twice in the past two years, with Albania taking four points off those two matches.
Albania will really miss Lorik Cana. The Albania captain, who plays club football in France for Nantes, was sent off in his last match and is suspended. Missing one of their top defenders, Albania will be hard-pressed to play the same defensive style that almost worked against Switzerland.
France looked strong in their opener, especially with Olivier Giroud up front. The Arsenal striker has eight goals in his last six appearances for France, including the opening goal of the tournament against Romania. France head into Marseille having won ten of their last 11 outings.
