Poland and Germany held each other scoreless to wrap Group C play on Thursday.

Germany had their share of chances, but overall Poland did well to prevent the Germans from settling into their offense.

Poland did well and got several chances from Arkadiusz Milik, but his first went wide and he slipped on the second. Lewandowski had his first shot of the tournament, but it was blocked by Germany’s Boateng.

With four points apiece, both teams are likely to advance from Group C. They will both appear again on Tuesday, when Poland will face Ukraine and Germany will take on Northern Ireland.

69′:Chances at Both Ends

Still no score, but the second half has seen both sides pick up the pace. Poland were on the break and looked primed for a chance until Milik slipped trying to shoot, starting Germany’s counter. It ended with a chance from Ozil, whose shot was barely tipped over the bar by Poland’s backup keeper Fabianski.

Scoreless Through 60 Minutes

Into the later stage now and still no score. Poland opened the second half with a great chance on goal, but Milik was unable to get his header on target. Lewandowski finally found space in the 59th, but Boateng slid in with prefect timing to block the attempt.
