Kimbo Slice Dead: The Tweets You Need to Read

MMA star and legendary street fighter Kimbo Slice died suddenly Monday night, just a short time after being rushed to a Florida hospital.

Slice, born Kevin Ferguson, had been mostly recently fighting with Bellator MMA, but had also done stints with UFC and professional boxing.

He rose to internet fame as a street fighter in 2003 when videos of him handing out vicious knockouts hit the web.

Soon after, Ferguson was fighting professionally and proved to be a major draw, both at live events and in the TV ratings.

Needless to say, when news broke of Slice’s passing, social media erupted with tweets, Facebook updates and Instagram posts from fans and friends offering condolences.
