Peru vs. Colombia: Time, Channel & Lineup for Copa America Quarterfinals

Quarterfinal action comes to the east coast Friday night, as Colombia take on Peru in front of a sold-out MetLife Stadium.

After defeating USA in the tournament opener, Colombia cooled off in their next two matches. They even went as far as resting starters against Costa Rica, a move that backfired on manager Jose Pekerman. Colombia ended up losing to Los Ticos, and were expected to draw Brazil in this match.

But out of Group B emerged Peru, who went unbeaten in three games including a 1-0 defeat of Brazil. Much to the delight of Pekerman and Colombia, Peru advanced instead of Brazil as the winners of the group.

A longshot to win the tournament, Peru shut out both Brazil and Haiti in the group stage. The key man is Paolo Guerrero, who scored against Haiti and provided both assists in their 2-2 draw against Ecuador.

The stars of Colombia remain the same, led by captain James Rodriguez. The Real Madrid striker rested for the first half against Costa Rica, and seems to have recovered from the shoulder injury that bothered him earlier in the tournament.

Here’s the details for the match:
