WATCH: Steph Curry’s Pre-Game Dance Spoofs ‘BBQ & Foot Massage’ Viral Video

Steph Curry has adopted an interesting pre-game ritual that’s clearly working for him. His Golden State Warriors enter Game 3 of the NBA Finals with a 2-0 lead over the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Curry spoofs the viral video “BBQ & Foot Massage” created by comedian Robert L. Hines with the Chicago sketch comedy group Big Dog Eat Child, according to ABC News. The Warriors star performed his dance with a couple security guards at the Oracle Arena in Oakland, California.

“If I miss a beat I get a little nervous and have to go back and re-do my steps,” Curry told ABC News. “It kinda gets me in game mode so I kinda enjoy it.”

The original video — full title “Jones’ Good Ass BBQ & Foot Massage” — was uploaded in April 2009 and has accumulated more than 5.5 million views. Hines plays the owner of the BBQ restaurant that will fry anything that fits through the door and massage customers feet with any of their specialty sauces. Watch the original video above.

Curry’s been rocking the pre-game dance throughout the NBA playoffs. Hines caught on during Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals against the Oklahoma Thunder.

When he learned Good Morning America was going to spotlight Curry’s dance, Hines delivered this message (via ABC News):

So how do I feel about Steph Curry singing and dancing to Jones’ ‘BBQ & Foot Massage’ before every game and this being viewed on ‘Good Morning America?’ You’re welcome, Steph.

The NBA documented Curry’s nearly 20 minute warm-up that he performs on the court before games. It includes dribbling and shooting skills, foul shots, shooting against pressure and half-court shots. Curry also shows off his shooting range by throwing up a few shots way off the court until he drains one.
