As the NBA Finals wind to a close and a champion is crowned, the debate begins about who should be crowned MVP. While the NBA Finals winner has yet to be determined, let’s take a look at who the top candidates are for the award.
Whether or not the Cleveland Cavaliers win the the title, LeBron James 2016 Finals performance is nothing short of extraordinary. Heading into Game 7, James was averaging 27.6 points, 10.7 rebounds, 8.4 assists, 2.6 steals and 2.1 blocks in the series.
Steph Curry was averaging 22.1 points, 4.7 rebounds and 3.6 assists in the first six games of the series.
Draymond Green averaged 14.8 points, 9 rebounds, 5.7 assists and 1.7 steals. Kyrie Irving averaged 25.3 points, 3.9 assists, 3.4 rebounds and 2 steals.
