France vs. Iceland: Time, TV Channel & Lineup for Euro Quarterfinals

(Getty)

Iceland have never beaten France before, but it would only add to the crazy things they’ve accomplished at Euro 2016. The tiny nation of Iceland is now on the biggest stage, playing the host nation for a spot in the semifinals against Germany.

Iceland is winless in 11 meetings with the French, their last meetings a 3-2 defeat in 2012. But the squad is flying after a 2-1 victory over England, and joint manager Heimir Hallgrimsson said that he believes Iceland’s best performance is yet to come.

France have had some scary moments during their undefeated run at Euro 2016, including falling behind early to Ireland. Manager Didier Deschamps will have to replace N’Golo Kante in the lineup, who has been excellent in the tournament but is serving a card suspension. Iceland enter the match with a clean bill of health.
