Cristiano Ronaldo and Portugal have been waiting to see who they would face in Sunday’s Final. Portugal will take on France Sunday, July 10 at 3 p.m. Eastern on ESPN.
Portugal finds themselves in their first final since 1994. France entered the tournament as the favorite to win in their home country.
France defeated Germany 2-0 to advance to the final as host. They came away with a dominant second half to seal the victory. Portugal defeated a red-hot Wales team 2-0 to advance.
France was originally in Group A and won the group that included Switzerland. Portugal made it all the way to the Final despite coming in third place in Group F.
Portugal is led by Ronaldo while France has a team of players that have stepped up throughout the tournament. No player has come up bigger than Antoine Griezmann who leads the tournament in goals with six.
