Simone Biles is one of the most watched gymnasts in America during the 2016 Olympics in Rio. She has already taken home several medals at this year’s Olympics. Biles has taken home three gold medals in Women’s Vault, Women’s team all-around and Women’s individual all-around. In addition, Biles has won a bronze medal for Women’s Beam. Today, at 1:47 p.m. ET, she will participate in the final competition of the Women’s floor exercise. Biles earned a bronze because of a very slight mistake with a somersault in her beam routine, but she said to USA Today that:
The rest of the routine was still pretty good, so I can’t be too disappointed in myself.
Check out Biles earning her third gold medal at Rio 2016 with her vault win in the below video.
Biles is just 19 years old, having been born March 14, 1997 in Columbus, Ohio. She stands at a short height of 4’8″ and is estimated to weigh 104 pounds. Recently, Biles posed with Olympic swimmers Michael Phelps and Nathan Adrian, showing off their massive height differences in a Twitter pic. Check out the photos in the below tweet.
Michael Phelps stands at 6’4″ tall while Nathan Adrian’s height is 6’6″.
Growing up, Biles resided temporarily with her father and stepmother, Ronald and Nellie Biles, because her mother’s addiction issues kept her from taking care of her children. Biles was later adopted by her dad and stepmother and was also helped raised by her grandparents.
