Keenan Allen just can’t catch a break.
The star San Diego Chargers wide receiver, who was on pace for a monster 2015 season before missed the second half of the year with a freak kidney injury, suffered what appeared to be a major right knee injury in the second quarter of Sunday’s season opener vs. the Kansas City Chiefs. Sports Illustrated’s Chris Burke described the play, which you can watch above:

Allen, who appeared to be in serious pain, was eventually carted off the field and quickly ruled out for the rest of the game, which is obviously a very concerning sign.
Although there is no official news on the status of Allen, who was off to a magnificent start with 63 yards on six catches against Chiefs All-Pro corner Marcus Peters, the concern is that the 24-year-old has suffered a torn ACL:
