Matt Asiata ran it in from 1 yard out to give the Vikings a 7-0 lead with 6:28 left in the first quarter.

The Vikings took advantage of a special teams fumble by New York to get great field position. The Giants pinned Minnesota deep in its own territory with Brad Wing punt and forced a 3 and out. Jeff Locke’s punt was muffed by Dwayne Harris and the Vikings took over at New York’s 41.

Sam Bradford completed 3 of 4 passes for 30 yards on the drive.

The Giants finally got onto the board with a field goal on the last play of the first half.

The Giants Scored a TD Early in the 4th Quarter

After trailing 17-3 when the teams traded field goals, the Giants got into the endzone early in the fourth quarter on a 1-yard touchdown run by Orleans Darkwa.

The TD was set up by a 67-yard reception by rookie Paul Perkins.

Perkins took a screen pass from Eli Manning on the first play of the fourth quarter and took it to the Vikings 4.

The Vikings Answered With Another TD

The Giants cut Minnesota’s lead to 7, but the Vikings answered right back on the ensuing drive when Jerick McKinnon ran it in from 4 yards out and a 24-10 advantage.
