As we all know, the NFL is a passing league.
Productive wide receivers are vital to the success of fantasy football teams, especially in PPR leagues. The chances of you finding a big name on the waiver wire to pick up are probably slim-to-none. But you always need to be on the lookout. Here are a few under-the-radar WRs who should provide quality production as the fantasy playoffs draw near.
Tyreek Hill, Chiefs — With Jeremy Maclin banged up and inconsistent, the rookie Hill is coming off a 10-catch game. Even if Maclin is playing, Hill has earned himself more playing time. He makes a very good bye week or injury fill-in in Week 11 vs. Tampa.
Cameron Meredith, Bears — Meredith had some big games early on, but fell off the map when Alshon Jeffery picked up his play. But now that Jeffery is suspended, Meredith suddenly is thrust back into the starting lineup. Both he and Eddie Royal can be looked at as WR3s.
Adam Humphries, Buccaneers — Humphries isn’t going to win you any fantasy titles, but he has seen 15 targets over the past 2 games. With Mike Evans getting most of the defensive attention and Jameis Winston improving, Humphries should find himself becoming more involved in the offense going forward.
Fantasy owners will be without Julio Jones (Falcons), Brandon Marshall (Jets), Damaryius Thomas (Broncos), Emmanuel Sanders (Broncos), Tyrell Williams (Chargers) and Dontrelle Inman (Chargers) as those players are on the bye.
