With the NBA moving closer to a day off for the entire league on Thursday (Thanksgiving), the next three days will be chock full of action. Monday’s schedule consists of nine games, including the Raptors playing the third game of the five-game road trip as they visit the Clippers in Los Angeles. While Toronto is two games behind Cleveland in the loss column in the race for the East’s top spot, L.A. is off to a 12-2 start and holds the best record in the NBA. The point guard matchup between Toronto’s Kyle Lowry and L.A.’s Chris Paul won’t lack for entertainment, and the Clippers will also need to find an answer for Raptors shooting guard DeMar DeRozan.
Also of note on Monday’s schedule is Boston’s trip to Minnesota, and with center Al Horford back in the lineup he’ll go up against one of the league’s best young players in Timberwolves center Karl-Anthony Towns. And in the lone game to be televised nationally the Spurs host Dallas, with the Mavericks looking to turn things around after getting off to a 2-10 start to the season. Dallas has played with Dirk Nowitzki and Deron Williams as both are dealing with injuries, and that’s had a major impact on their productivity. But guard Jonathan Gibson saw his first action of the season Sunday and he took full advantage, scoring 26 points in their loss to Orlando.
