The 2017 NFL Playoffs are here and one of the more anticipated matchups of the Wild-Card weekend will take place at historic Lambeau Field when the Green Bay Packers host the New York Giants.
And when you mention those teams, it isn’t uncommon to immediately think of the quarterbacks — Aaron Rodgers of the Packers and the Giants’ Eli Manning.
Both have Super Bowl titles, Super Bowl MVPs, have garnered numerous Pro Bowl selections and are likely future Hall of Famers.
Manning has led the Giants to two Super Bowl titles — after the 2007 and ’11 seasons — as wild-card teams. In each of those memorable runs, the team knocked off the Packers at Lambeau. Rodgers has yet to defeat the Giants in the postseason, but the two-time first-team All-Pro also has a Super Bowl MVP of his own (2010-11 season).
This will be the second meeting at “The Frozen Tundra” between the teams this season. Green Bay knocked off New York 23-16 in Week 5 when the tundra wasn’t so frozen. That’ll change this weekend as the high temperature in Green Bay on Sunday is expected to be roughly 15 degrees.
Kickoff is scheduled for 4:40 p.m. Eastern on Sunday and the game will be televised by FOX.
