The Dolphins are struggling in their first playoff appearance since 2008, and Bud Dupree is not making it any easier.
Matt Moore, who is already the backup QB after a Ryan Tannehill knee injury, took a vicious hit from Dupree in the second quarter.
The Dolphins were trailing 20-3 in the second quarter, but were in the process of driving into Steelers territory. Moore scrambled to his right to buy time, but Dupree came flying towards him full speed and connected.
Dupree was called for roughing the passer, drawing boos from the crowd at Heinz Field as Moore lay on the ground surrounded by trainers. Moore stayed on the ground feeling his back, but ultimately was able to rise to his feet without any assistance.
T.J. Yates is the Dolphins third-string QB. Yates came in for one play, but Moore returned to action. He attempted three more passes on the drive, and the Dolphins were forced to settle for a field goal.
