Three of the original cast members (Renee Elise Goldsberry, Jasmine Cephas Jones and Phillipa Soo), known as the Schuyler Sisters from the Broadway musical “Hamilton”, kicked off this year’s Super Bowl in Houston tonight, donning black and white attire. As the three women sang in harmony, they smiled and appeared to have a great time being united for the event. Their harmonies worked well for their own unique take on the classic song.
While singing, they added the word “sisterhood” to the traditional lyrics which evoked some smiles. The three woman sang:
And crown thy good with brotherhood, and sisterhood, from sea to shining sea.
Directly following their rendition of the song, Luke Bryan performed the National Anthem.
