In May 2013, Bass's husband of 28 years, Bob Fuchs, died after suffering a heart attack. While in June 2016, Bass was arrested for stealing groceries worth $1400 in Queens, reported the New York Post. While in 2006, Bass was hospitalized after suffering steroid related problems in her pancreas.
