After the Monday Night Raw broadcast ended tonight, Bill Goldberg entered the ring and spoke to the audience without a script in what seems to be his final WWE segment.
Goldberg appeared to be a bit angry getting into the ring based on the way the audience had been reacting to him; they had been booing Goldberg when he was mentioned earlier in the night and cheering Brock Lesnar, who is theoretically the heel in the Goldberg vs. Lesnar feud.
Some members of the crowd still booed Goldberg when he came out after Raw ended, but he immediately told them that this isn’t a part of the show and he’s speaking to them from the heart without a script and presumably out of character.
Goldberg said that when he was asked to return to the WWE, he had to consider the physical limitations, but he decided to do it for his family.
“You can boo me, or you can cheer me, but the fact is that little boy is the reason my heart still beats,” Goldberg said while looking at his son in the stands.
Goldberg went on to say that he thinks he and Brock Lesnar did a pretty good job last night, and he wrapped up by saying that this might be it for his WWE career but that he’s learned never to say never.
“Since I believe I’m one of the biggest, baddest son of a bitches on this planet, you never know what, or who’s, next,” Goldberg said.
Goldberg left the arena hand-in-hand with his 10-year-old son.
This whole segment did not air as part of the main Raw show; rather, it was broadcast live on the WWE Network immediately following the main program.
