The kickoff show for the WWE’s Payback pay-per-view is about to begin.
The Payback pre-show begins at 7:00 p.m. Eastern Time. Although Payback itself is only available to view on the WWE Network, the entire kickoff show can be viewed in the embedded YouTube player via WWE.
There are two main draws to this Payback kickoff show, the first being a tag team match between Enzo Amore and Big Cass and Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson. There’s no title on the line here, however; the Raw Tag Team Championship match is taking place during the actual pay-per-view, and that one is between The Hardy Boyz and Cesaro and Sheamus.
The other reason to tune in to this kickoff show is for a Miz TV segment with Finn Balor as the special guest. Miz TV is always entertaining to watch, but this is a particularly important segment, as we have not heard Finn Balor cut a promo since he returned from injury. So what is he going to say? Does he have his sights set on the Universal Championship, the title that he never lost but simply had to vacate due to injury?
The Payback pre-show will last for about an hour, running from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time, at which point Payback itself begins.
The two aforementioned segments won’t fill up an entire hour, and so the rest of the kickoff show typically features commentators, usually lead by Renee Young, talking among themselves about the night ahead and previewing the matches.
