Four games kick off the first day of the 2017 NBA playoffs. The No. 7 Indiana Pacers take on the No. 2 Cleveland Cavaliers at 3 p.m. Eastern on ABC.
In the other Eastern Conference matchup, the No. 3 Toronto Raptors host the No. 6 Milwaukee Bucks. The game tips off at 5:30 p.m. Eastern on ESPN. The Western Conference will conclude the day with two prime time Saturday matchups.
The No. 7 Memphis Grizzles square off with the No. 2 San Antonio Spurs at 8 p.m. Eastern on ESPN. Finally, the No. 5 Utah Jazz battle the No. 4 LA Clippers at 10:30 p.m. Eastern on ESPN to conclude the day’s action.
Cleveland has been able to handle Indiana this season, winning three of their four matchups. That said, both teams are entering this series at different points. Indiana has won five straight games while Cleveland has lost their last four. It will be interesting to see if the Cavs are able to bring their A-game after ending the regular season on a down note.
The Bucks struggled against the Raptors this season losing three of the four matchups. The series features a Bucks team that is relatively inexperienced when compared to Toronto’s veteran team.
Memphis was able to split the four games they played against the Spurs this season. Time will tell whether this will translate into the postseason.
The Clippers took three of four games against the Jazz this season. This marks the first playoff appearance for the Jazz since 2012.
