With the 2017 NFL Draft about a week away, Heavy is here to give Dallas Cowboys fans a look at all seven rounds of the NFL Draft. The Cowboys have the following seven picks in the 2017 draft: No. 28 (1st), No. 60 (2nd), No. 92 (3rd), No. 133 (4th), No. 211 (6th), No. 228 (7th) and No. 246 (7th). Dallas is without its fifth round pick but has two seventh round picks. Now, to the nuts and bolts of this mock draft. We used the draft simulator at FanSpeak.com to simulate all seven rounds of the draft. While there will be fluctuations in the actual draft, it is a great exercise to have a sense of what tier players are left in each round. We recommend fans go to FanSpeak and try the exercise for themselves. Tweet me your seven round mock as well as your reaction to my Cowboys mock draft @JonDAdams. Each pick listed here will be paired with an explanation of the selection along with notable players that were still on the board when the Cowboys were picking in this draft. Putting myself in the Cowboys front office, my goal was to improve the pass rush as well as bolster the Cowboys' secondary with the departures in free agency. You'll find we were able to do that while at the same time taking the best player on the board in most cases. For the purposes of simplifying the process, trades up or down were not considered.
