With the 2017 NFL Draft about a week away, Heavy is here to give Dallas Cowboys fans a look at all seven rounds of the NFL Draft. The Cowboys have the following seven picks in the 2017 draft: No. 28 (1st), No. 60 (2nd), No. 92 (3rd), No. 133 (4th), No. 211 (6th), No. 228 (7th) and No. 246 (7th). Dallas is without its fifth round pick but has two seventh round picks. Now, to the nuts and bolts of this mock draft. We used the draft simulator at FanSpeak.com to simulate all seven rounds of the draft. While there will be fluctuations in the actual draft, it is a great exercise to have a sense of what tier players are left in each round. We recommend fans go to FanSpeak and try the exercise for themselves. Tweet me your seven round mock as well as your reaction to my Cowboys mock draft @JonDAdams. Each pick listed here will be paired with an explanation of the selection along with notable players that were still on the board when the Cowboys were picking in this draft. Putting myself in the Cowboys front office, my goal was to improve the pass rush as well as bolster the Cowboys' secondary with the departures in free agency. You'll find we were able to do that while at the same time taking the best player on the board in most cases. For the purposes of simplifying the process, trades up or down were not considered. No. 28 CB Gareon Conley, Ohio State
Round: 1st
Players on the Board: TE David Njoku, CB Quincy Wilson, EDGE Charles Harris, EDGE Takkarist McKinley
Why It Works: Many mock drafts have Dallas selecting a pass rusher here which is certainly withing the realm of possibilities. Given the strength of this secondary class, my preference would be to select the best available corner at this spot unless there is a player at another position that has fallen that is clearly above the remaining cornerbacks. Ohio State is doing their part to help NFL secondaries with at least three first round corners/safeties coming out of Columbus. Conley is a player rising up draft boards and could end up in the top-15 selections. Conley is a big, physical corner that ran a 4.4 40-time. Which corners the Cowboys prefer is hard to predict, but do not be surprised if they bolster their secondary with this pick instead of their pass rush. (Getty)

No. 4 T.J. Watt Will Get Drafted in the First Round
Prop Bet: Round 1 +100/ Field -130
Go With Round 1: In my latest NFL mock draft, Watt goes off the board at 28 to the Cowboys. Watt could start to get looks from the Redskins at 17. The Lions, Dolphins, Raiders and Steelers are a few other teams that could be fits for Watt. He had 11.5 sacks last season at Wisconsin and is one of the top edge rushers in this draft class. With the value of pass rushers who can get to the quarterback at a high rate, it would be surprising to see Watt go through all of Day 1 without getting selected. Smart money is on J.J. Watt's younger brother getting drafted in the first round. (Getty)

No. 92 EDGE Tyus Bowser, Houston
Round: 3rd
Players on the Board: WR JuJu Smith-Schuster, TE Gerald Everett, LB Kendell Beckwith, CB/S Desmond King
Why It Works: One of the things you notice in the third round is the amount of talent still on the board. USC wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster is tempting, and- if I had it to do over again- Smith-Schuster might be the pick. The challenge is Dallas is not desperate for a wide receiver, and the Cowboys enter this draft with big needs to fill on the defensive side. Bowser is a player that could slide into the second round. College football fans know that Houston's defense, at least at start of the season, was nasty with several players that will be on NFL rosters this fall. Bowser finished with 8.5 sacks last season along with 47 tackles. If the draft plays out in any way like this, there is plenty of top talent sitting where the Cowboys draft in the third round. No. 133 CB Jalen "Teez" Tabor, Florida
Round: 4th
Players on the Board: Edge DeMarcus Walker, Edge Daeshon Hall, TE Jordan Leggett, LB Jalen Reeves-Maybin
Why It Works: This may be my favorite pick based on the value. Tabor was being mentioned as a potential first round pick during college football season. What happened? Tabor ran a 4.62 40-time at the Combine. I remain skeptical that will cause him to drop all the way to the fourth round, but this is the kind of player the Cowboys can look for in the middle rounds. On tape, Tabor makes all the plays needed to be an NFL cornerback. Dallas may be willing to take a gamble on Tabor's talent even though he may be a little slower than expected. Paired with our first round pick of Conley, the Cowboys secondary looks much stronger than when we started the draft. (Getty)

No. 211 TE Cole Hikutini, Louisville
Round: 6th
Players on the Board: EDGE Deatrich Wise Jr., WR Damore'ea Stringfellow
Why It Works: After a little bit of a layoff between picks, the Cowboys are able to pick up another sleeper. Even the casual college football fan has heard of Lamar Jackson who won last year's Heisman Trophy. Tight end Cole Hikutini was one of Jackson's favorite targets, particularly in the redzone. This is a deep tight end class, and the Cowboys would be wise to add a player as they continue to look for Jason Witten's successor. Hikutini finished with 668 yards and eight touchdowns which is pretty good numbers in college where the tight end is often under-utilized. Hikutini can block but his strength is pass catching in the vertical game. (Getty)

No. 228 EDGE Devonte Fields, Louisville
Round: 7th
Players on the Board: WR Damore'ea Stringfellow, RB Donnel Pumphrey, WR Rodney Adams
Why It Works: Fans down the road at TCU are familiar with Fields. He has had his share of off-field incidents which forced him to leave the Horned Frogs and end up at Louisville. Fields does one thing really well: get after the quarterback. He needs some help (on and off the field), but Fields is a Day 2 talent who is likely to fall on draft day based on character concerns. Fields had 26.5 sacks in the three full seasons he played. Fields rounds out a new group of EDGE rushers we have brought in from this draft class to compete to play right away this season for the Cowboys. (Getty)

No. 246 WR Bug Howard, North Carolina
Round: 7th
Players on the Board: QB Seth Russell, QB Antonio Pipkin
Why It Works: This is the point of the draft that teams are looking for two things. Front offices want to grab players they are in danger of losing in the bidding war for undrafted free agents. Teams will also take chances on a player's upside in hopes he can make the team. Howard had a solid 827 yards and eight touchdowns. Give me a 6'4" receiver with a 37.5-inch vertical at this spot in the draft all day long. Howard isn't a receiver that creates a lot of separation but has such a big catch radius that it can make up for his lack of speed. Wide receiver is one of the positions the Cowboys could use to add another piece or two but might opt to go with defense early. Fans could see Dallas take a chance on some offensive players in the later rounds after they have filled some of the defensive voids. (Getty)
