A new episode of Monday Night Raw just wrapped up on the WWE Network. Here’s what happened:
10:57 – Braun Strowman fights Big Show. The match is ended when the ring collapses, but Braun Strowman is the first one back on his feet, and the show ends with his theme song playing.
10:50 – Backstage, Heath Slater and Rhyno approach Mike Rome to declare that they’re now on Monday Night Raw, but they’re interrupted when they are startled by Braun Strowman, who is walking to the ring.
10:33 – Jeff Hardy defeats Cesaro. After the match, Sheamus shakes Matt Hardy’s hand, and Cesaro hugs Jeff Hardy.
10:29 – Backstage, Alicia Fox shows Dana Brooke video of herself on 205 Live last week. Emma enters and provokes an argument between Dana Brooke and Alicia Fox.
10:21 – Bray Wyatt speaks to the camera and asks, “What are you afraid of?” He says that fear is what brings everyone together, but he is not like us in that he doesn’t bow down to the feet of fear: he controls it and harnesses it. Wyatt says that in his House of Horror, all of Randy Orton’s fears will come to life. Orton’s pain will fuel Wyatt, Wyatt says. He concludes by saying that he will burn the House of Horrors to the ground with Randy Orton inside it.
10:18 – Chris Jericho says he’s focused on his rematch against Kevin Owens at Payback. He also says that he doesn’t care if he gets traded to SmackDown Live because wherever he go, the Friends of Jericho will follow him.
10:12 – Finn Balor defeats Curt Hawkins.
10:08 – Curt Hawkins takes credit for the fact that Big Show has a main event tonight; after all, Big Show faced Strowman in the ring. He asks who wants to come to the ring and face him. Finn Balor enters.
10:01 – Backstage, Big Show says that tonight, Braun Strowman is going to get a big dose of his own medicine.
9:39 – Alexa Bliss defeats Mickie James, Sasha Banks and Nia Jax in a fatal four-way. This means she has become the number one contender for the Raw Tag Team Championship.
9:36 – Backstage, The Hardy Boyz says that the current roster of WWE superstars are the most impressive they’ve ever seen. They say they they’re excited to be a part of the new era of Raw. Cesaro and Sheamus welcome The Hardy Boyz to Raw. However, they say that they’re going to beat them and steal the titles at Payback.
9:34 – Backstage, Apollo Crews talks to Titus O’Neil backstage. Titus says he can help build Apollo’s brand inside and outside of the WWE; this includes pitching an Apollo Crews cruise called Apollo Cruise.
9:13 – TJ Perkins defeats Jack Gallagher.
9:08 – Backstage, Braun Strowman drags around Kalisto and finally throws him into the garbage. Suddenly, Big Show attacks Strowman, telling him to pick on someone his own size.
8:56 – The Miz and Maryse enter. They host an episode of Miz TV with special guest Dean Ambrose. Ambrose apologies for last week but proceeds to mock The Miz’s bright red suit. The Miz says that unlike Dean Ambrose, he respects what it means to be a WWE superstar. Miz expresses frustration that even though Ambrose doesn’t take any of this seriously, he is given opportunity after opportunity. Miz says that Ambrose has never taken his career to the next level because he’s lazy and complacent. Ambrose says that The Miz pretends to be something he’s not and is obsessed with his image and branding. Ambrose says that he does what he does because he loves it, and that’s why he’s Intercontinental Champion.
Maryse takes the microphone and says that Ambrose is not a real champion because the championship doesn’t make the man. As The Miz goes on a rant against Ambrose, Ambrose takes off his jacket and slowly folds it before finally attacking The Miz.
8:38 – Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson defeat Enzo Amore and Big Cass.
8:36 – Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson are upset that they can’t fight Goldust and R. Truth in a match anymore. They want to fight someone, and suddenly, Enzo Amore and Big Cass enter ready to fight.
8:35 – Backstage, a referee tells Braun Strowman that Kurt Angle made it very clear that he has the night off. Strowman said he’ll leave when he wants to.
8:30 – Backstage, Braun Strowman attacks Goldust and R. Truth, who were making their way to the ring for a match against Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson.
8:27 – After the match, Samoa Joe calls out Seth Rollins, and he talks about injuring Rollins the day he debuted on Monday Night Raw. He also says that he will destroy Joe for what he did to Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. Rollins says that in two weeks, he gets Joe right where he wants him, and “You know what they say: payback is a bitch.”
8:16 – Samoa Joe defeats Chris Jericho.
8:03 – Braun Strowman enters. He says he’s proud to say that last week, he broke Roman Reigns in half, and now, Roman Reigns will not be here tonight. Kurt Angle enters. He asks what Braun is trying to prove. Angle also books a match between Braun Strowman and Roman Reigns for Payback. Strowman asks what he gets to do tonight. Angle tells Strowman that he’s done enough damage and he has the night off. Strowman says that he wants more competition tonight or else. Kurt Angle asks or else what, and Strowman leaves.
8:00 – The show opens with a package recapping last week’s segment between Braun Strowman and Roman Reigns.
