SmackDown Live is currently airing a new episode live on the USA Network. Here’s what has happened so far:

8:00 – Kevin Owens enters. He says that this is now the new Kevin Owens show and that SmackDown Live just received a major upgrade. He then starts trash talking the United States and saying that Canada is way better, and if someone disagrees, they should come out and fight him.

Baron Corbin enters. He wants an opportunity at his title, saying that technically he’s owed a championship rematch, and Owens has one.

Sami Zayn enters. He announces that he’s finally a part of SmackDown Live.

AJ Styles enters. The crowd goes wild for him, and Styles says that this is not the Kevin Owens show; it’s SmackDown Live. It’s not about Kevin Owens, nor is it about Sami Zayn or Baron Corbin: it’s about AJ Styles, Styles declares. This is the house that AJ styles built, and he’s still here, Styles says.

Daniel Bryan enters. He says that it was announced before the shakeup that Kevin Owens would defend his United States Championship at Payback. Bryan says that this match is still going to happen, and whoever wins will stay on SmackDown. Bryan also says that there will be a United States Championship number one contender triple threat match with Baron Corbin, Sami Zayn and AJ Styles tonight.

8:18 Erick Rowan fights Randy Orton but gets himself disqualified. In the middle of the match, Bray Wyatt appears on screen and says that Randy Orton reeks of fear and that they will meet soon at the House of Horrors.

8:29 The Usos defeat American Alpha and retain the Tag Team Championship.

8:45 – Mojo Rawley defeats Jinder Mahal with the help of Rob Gronkowski.

8:57 – Shane McMahon enters. He thanks all of the SmackDown Live superstars who have moved on to Raw for their help. He then welcomes out the entire SmackDown Live women’s division: Naomi, Natalya, Becky Lynch, and Carmella.

Shane welcomes out the new member of the women’s division: Tamina Snuka. Then, he introduces Charlotte, who has been drafted from Raw.

9:09 Two more trades are announced: Sin Cara and Rusev are coming to SmackDown Live.

9:10 Tye Dillinger defeats Aiden English.

9:20 – Dolph Ziggler says that he’s staying on SmackDown Live, the show that he built. He says that in the superstar shake up, the audience is going to get a bunch of shiny new toys, but the excitement from those toys will fade, and Ziggler will remain.

Shinsuke Nakamura enters. Ziggler asks who Nakamura thinks he is. Nakamura smiles, takes the microphone, and says, “Do you want to know who I am? I am Shinsuke Nakamura.” Ziggler then tries to kick Nakamura, but Nakamura grabs his leg and pushes him away. Ziggler retreats.

9:34 – In a video package, it is announced that The New Day is coming to SmackDown Live.

9:36 AJ Styles defeats Sami Zayn and Baron Corbin in a triple threat match. This means he is the number one contender for the United States Championship.
