Jinder Mahal (c) (with Sunil Singh and Samir Singh) vs. Randy Orton (WWE Championship)
Winner: And still the WWE Champion, Jinder Mahal!
Highlights: Before the match began, a proud group of wrestling legends were honored in front of a very appreciative crowd. Once the big match introductions concluded, Orton assaulted Mahal with a bevy of strikes. Mahal was forced to make a hasty escape when he almost ate a quick RKO. Mahal went over his game plan on the outside with his affiliates before returning to the ring for more Orton punishment. Orton did everything to beat down Mahal inside and outside the ring, but his leg ended up getting targeted by Mahal. Mahal made sure to beat on his now injured leg on the outside by flinging Orton right into the steel ring steps. Mahal threw Orton back into the ring and continued to tear up Orton’s weakened leg. Orton made a crazy comeback on the outside by dropping Mahal back first onto the crowd barrier right in front of the legends. Mahal seemed to be down for the count until he got back up in time to slam Orton’s injured leg right onto a nearby announce table. Mahal then went right back into punishing Orton’s leg inside the ring.
Orton finally managed to maintain some offense over Mahal after landing a Fall Away Slam. But when Orton exited the ring to capitalize on his big move, Mahal went right back to injuring his already torn up leg. Once both men got back into the ring, Mahal countered another RKO attempt and went right back to beating down Orton. Mahal added insult to injury by using the Figure Four Leglock on Orton while Ric Flair looked on from the front row. Orton reversed the hold after being locked in for an excruciatingly long time, but Mahal quickly escaped and went right back to working on Orton’s limb. When both men ended up on the top rope, Orton brought Mahal back down to the mat hard with a Bob Orton Superplex. Orton and Mahal both got back to their feet to exchange strikes while the crowd reacted to each blow. Orton got the better of their exchange and began going right into his signature comeback routine.
Orton weakened Mahal long enough to finally land his RKO, but Mahal’s boys laid his foot atop the rope to save him. For this illegal act, the referee ejected them from ringside. Mahal’s members jaw jacked with the legends at ringside and even put their hands on them. A pissed off Orton fought for their honor by destroying both men at ringside. Orton handed out RKO’s to both men (one of them even got caught with one through a table). But when Orton ran back into the ring to take down Mahal, Mahal surprised him with a match ending Khallas.
