PGA Championship 2017: Purse & Prize Money Breakdown

The 2017 PGA Championship boasts the most lucrative purse in the tournament’s history.

After Jimmy Walker took home $1.8 million of the $10 million purse at Baltusrol last year, the total prize money was increased to $10.5 million for 2017, while the champion at Quail Hollow will earn a nice little paycheck of $1.89 million.

Among the majors, the PGA Championship is the second richest. Brooks Koepka received $2.16 million of the record $12 million purse at the US Open, Jordan Spieth’s triumph at the Open Championship earned him $1.845 million of the $10.25 million purse, and Sergio Garcia won $1.08 million of the $10 million Masters purse at Augusta.
