Trubisky aims to replicate a four-touchdown performance in a 34-22 win last week against the Detroit Lions. He completed 23 of 30 passes for 355 yards and three touchdowns, while adding 18 rushing yards and a score on the ground.
Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer told reporters he is preparing his team for the suddenly explosive Bears offense.
“Their team speed is much better now. Those guys have all added a lot of things to them. Then you throw in there (Tarik) Cohen and Anthony Miller, who has done a nice job. They’re opening things up a lot more. This isn’t two yards and a cloud of dust deal.”
Minnesota’s offense should be all systems go for Sunday night. Wide receiver Adam Thielen was limited in practice this week with lower back and calf injuries, but will likely not be inhibited. Running back Dalvin Cook has been limited with a hamstring injury all season, but is the healthiest he has been as he looks to add a dimension to the Vikings attack that has been lacking in 2018.
Chicago counters with the fourth-ranked defense in the NFL. The Bears are led by Khalil Mack (seven sacks in seven games) and Roquan Smith, who has three sack as well this season.
