Hyde has said he will either sign with Buffalo for 2024 or retire before the start of next season, Nick Sabato of the Niagara Gazette reports. Hyde has been considering retiring from football since the Bills were eliminated by the Chiefs from the postseason back in January. Former running mate Jordan Poyer departed for Miami in March, so if Hyde does come back to Buffalo for one more year, he would likely be in line for a significant role.

May play with Bills in 2024
Hyde has said he will either sign with Buffalo for 2024 or retire before the start of next season, Nick Sabato of the Niagara Gazette reports. Hyde has been considering retiring from football since the Bills were eliminated by the Chiefs from the postseason back in January. Former running mate Jordan Poyer departed for Miami in March, so if Hyde does come back to Buffalo for one more year, he would likely be in line for a significant role.
Still considering retirement
Bills' GM Brandon Bean told reporters Thursday that he spoke with Hyde on Wednesday and the safety is still mulling retirement, Joe Buscaglia of The Athletic reports. Rumors about Hyde retiring began circulating toward the end of January, and he still has not made his decision. The 33-year-old has appeared in just 16 games over the past two seasons for the Bills, recording 61 total tackles and defending seven passes, including two interceptions. Hyde, who's currently a free agent, would likely have a handful of suitors if he chooses to play in 2024.
Cleared for Sunday
Hyde was suffered the injury in last week's win over the Jets and was limited to start the week, but he's now set to start in his usual safety spot. Fellow safety Taylor Rapp has already been ruled out for Week 12 with a neck injury, so Hyde's presence his key as he and long-time teammate Jordan Poyer try to compete with Philadelphia's elite offense.
Limited for Wednesday's walkthrough
Hyde sustained a stinger in Buffalo's win versus the Jets in Week 11, and now his status for Week 12 appears to be in jeopardy. Unless he's able to upgrade to a full practice Thursday or Friday, he'll probably carry an injury designation into the weekend.
Gets in limited practice
It's a positive development for Hyde, who was unable to practice last week before sitting out of Monday's loss versus the Broncos. He'll still probably need to practice in full Thursday or Friday to avoid carrying an injury designation into the weekend.
