Marcus Jones Retires From MMA

Marcus “Big Baby” Jones has decided to retire from mixed martial arts following his knockout loss to Matt Mitrione earlier this month at The Ultimate Finale.

Jones, 36, (4-2 MMA, 0-1 UFC) became one of the most interesting and likeable characters during the tenth season of the reality show. Displaying a shockingly good ground game, Jones became one of the favorites to win the show, but lost to Brendan Schaub in a semifinal bout. Jones announced his intention to retire after the loss to Schaub, but changed his mind and was matched with nemesis Mitrione for the finale card on Spike.

The former NFL star hopes to stay involved with the sport and could pursue a broadcasting career.

Jones was unavailable for comment when contacted.
