LAS VEGAS — HeavyMMA.com is on the scene in Las Vegas, Nevada this evening for “The Ultimate Fighter 14 Finale” at The Pearl at the Palms Casino Resort.
This evening’s event features a middleweight headliner between Jason “Mayhem” Miller and Michael Bisping. Also featured on the card is the tournament finals of the bantamweight and featherweight divisions, which were featured on the latest season of the long-running reality series.

Main Card
Johnny Bedford vs. Louis Gaudinot
Round 1 – Touch of gloves starts this evening’s main card. Gaudinot misses with a kick, and Bedford makes him pay with a leg kick. Significant height advantage for Bedford, who effortlessly earns a takedown. Gaudinot tries to stand and he does, but eats several knees in the process. Bedford pressing his opponent against the cage. They separate. Huge takedown by Bedford, followed by an effortless move to mount. Trouble for Gaudinot, who fails with his attempt to roll. High mount for Bedford, who continues to throw punches. He takes the back now and is looking for the choke. 90 seconds remaining in the round. Bedford almost gets kicked from the back, but keeps the position. Brief scramble, and Bedford regains mount briefly, before being forced back into half guard. Full guard now. 30 seconds to go and Bedford is throwing big strikes. Gaudinot attempts to escape, but that simply leads to several knees from Bedford, bringing the round to a close. Round 2 – Exchange to start the round, and Bedford gets the better of it. He lands nice knees before taking the fight to the floor again. Knee to the body. Gaudinot is back up, but Bedford is trying for another takedown. He gets it and moves to half guard. Gaudinot is defending well, but clearly losing in terms of points, not to mention the ground and pound to the body, courtesy of his much larger opponent. Bedford transitions to full mount briefly, but loses it shortly after. Gaudinot tries to push off, but he simply can’t do anything to counter his opponent’s offense. Full guard gained for Gaudinot, which is a big victory for him at this point in the contest. But Bedford quickly puts some transitions together to earn full mount. It is a high mount, and Gaudinot is getting pounded. Bedford rolls for an armbar with 15 seconds left. Gaudinot survives another round, but he needs a stoppage if he wants to turn this bout into a victory. HeavyMMA.com scores the one-sided round 10-9 for Bedford.
Round 3 – Exchange starts the final round, but no one lands. Takedown attempts from both fighters, but neither are able to get it. Leg kick from Bedford. Gaudinot answers with one of his own. Knee lands for Bedford, followed by an elbow. Gaudinot is looking to take this fight down, but he is struggling. A knee from Bedford drops his opponent to the ground. He is beating him badly. Gaudinot defending, but still getting tagged. Knees from Bedford land to his down opponent and the official calls a stop to the contest. Dominant performance by Johnny Bedford.

Tony Ferguson vs. Yves Edwards
Round 1 – Kicks from Ferguson early. Edwards misses with a big overhand punch. Leg kick lands for Ferguson, who is showing great head movement. He fires off three more leg kicks. Edwards lands a straight left. Front kick from Ferguson comes up short. Both fighters willing to throw, but hesitant to over-commit. Edwards lands a solid head kick, but Ferguson seems fine. Edwards with a left hand now. Ferguson needs to be careful, and he takes a leg kick. Edwards is displaying his great technique. Ferguson lands with a right, and Edwards seems fine, but he felt it. Head kick from Ferguson is blocked. Right hook lands for Ferguson. The fighters are exchanging, but Ferguson is getting the better of this. He lands a nice shot. Edwards is hurt. Round 2 – Leg kick from Ferguson lands. Edwards lands slightly with a combination, but Ferguson is unaffected. Right hand lands for the veteran, followed by a head kick and leg kick. Another head kick thrown by Edwards, followed by a flying knee. He doesn’t land flush, but he was definitely the aggressor. Leg kick from Ferguson, who is bleeding now. Inside leg kick lands for him. Uppercut lands, followed by a straight left. Big right lands for the former “Ultimate Fighter” winner. Edwards is letting his opponent regain momentum. Body kick from Edwards lands. Round 3 – Left lands for Ferguson, but he comes up short on his second attempt. Leg kick lands for Edwards, who slips, but is back up. Head kick from Edwards is blocked by his opponent. Nice body kick from Ferguson. Edwards avoids a combination from Ferguson before landing a kick. The two are exchanging, but neither are landing flush. They trade kicks. Nice left lands for Ferguson, but he takes a kick in return. Edwards with a head kick, but it is partially blocked. Inside leg kick lands for Ferguson, who misses with a big uppercut. We are past the two minute mark, and this round is very close. Kick lands for Ferguson, but he misses with a combination. Big left misses for him now. Big overhand left misses for Edwards. Edwards looks for a potential clinch, but Ferguson avoids. 30 seconds left and Ferguson throws a head kick. They both miss with punches, before a final exchange. Neither lands anything significant. John Dodson vs. T.J. Dillashaw (135 lb. finale)
Round 1 – Kick lands for Dillashaw, but misses with his second. Dodson lands a nice left hand, but Dillashaw is fine. Dodson takes a pair of kicks to the body, and misses with a head kick. Head kick from Dodson is blocked, but he lands a leg kick. These guys are quick. Leg kick lands for Dillashaw, but he eats a shot. Dodson with an inside leg kick of his own. Dodson lands a vicious left hook that floors Dillashaw. He lands another shot. The fight is over. Incredible power from Dodson. Quick stoppage. Dillashaw had a leg and he was hurt, but…

Dennis Bermudez vs. Diego Brandao (145 lb. finale)
Round 1 – Quick exchange to start this contest. Bermudez lands a nice kick and grabs a leg. He is looking for a guillotine up against the cage. Knee from Bermudez breaks the clinch. Brandao misses with a right hand, and, shortly after, misses with a left hook. Nice kick from Bermudez, who is clearly the aggressor. Right hand lands for Brandao, and Bermudez gets dropped. He is back up and seems fine. Bermudez is still pressing forward, displaying that the vicious shot earlier merely rattled him momentarily. Nice punch lands for Brandao again. Head kick comes up short for the Brazilian. Nice flying knee lands for Brandao, and Bermudez finds himself on his back. Half guard for Brandao, who is moving to the back. Bermudez stands, but is forced down immediately. He is back up again. Back to the striking game. Knee lands for Brandao, but it has little force. Bermudez lands a straight right that floors Brandao. Brandao rolls for a leg lock, but his opponent escapes. Big shots from Bermudez. 20 seconds remain. Bermudez pounding away, but Brandao catches an arm. Armbar attempt quickly leads to a tap. Incredible submission. Bermudez appears to be hurt. That was a phenomenal armbar.

Jason “Mayhem” Miller vs. Michael Bisping
Round 1 – Miller comes out quick with a nice leg kick. He lands a nice body kick and shoots for a takedown. Bisping swings him up against the cage. The fighters exchange knees here. They separate, and Miller lands a leg kick, but Bisping catches it. Miller is being very aggressive and is clearly not afraid to throw. He lands a nice right hand. Bisping taking the more technical route. Miller lands a right and a left before looking for a takedown. He has it. Miller is looking to mount here and he could do it if he gets Bisping away from the cage. Midpoint of the round has come and gone, and Bisping is still on the floor. Miller has Bisping’s legs tied up, and the Brit is unable to pull away. Bisping escapes and is back to his feet. One minute remains in the round. Bisping comes up short on a head kick, but lands a left hook on a counter shortly after. Miller lands a nice left. Bisping with a jab. Round comes to a close. Round 2 – Both middleweights are looking to land early, and Bisping dodges a takedown attempt from Miller. The Brit comes up short on a combination, but lands a nice leg kick. Takedown attempt from Miller now. He presses Bisping against the cage, but the former “Ultimate Fighter” winner is defending well. Bisping turns Miller around. Action stops. Bisping is reaching at his eye. There was a clear headbutt. No points deducted, as it was a completely accidental headbutt. Action resumes. Bisping gets tagged with a right hand, but avoids a takedown. “Mayhem” is throwing bombs, but not landing. He attempts to clinch, but his opponent pushes away. Right hook misses for Miller, who shoots for a takedown. It is stuffed. He welcomes Bisping to the ground, and the Brit throws a headkick that misses, which is good, as it was completely illegal. Miller misses with a left hook. Bisping landing nice shots here, as Miller looks a bit tired. Right left lands for Bisping. Miller is getting beaten up here. He looks really tired now. Knee from Bisping. Bisping is landing, and Miller smiles and yells for more. Miller with a failed takedown attempt. He is spent. Bisping follows him to the ground and is throwing elbows, but Miller survives. HeavyMMA.com scores the round 10-9 for Bisping.
Round 3 – Miller comes out strong, but a takedown attempt from him is stuffed. Bisping tells him to stand back up, and Miller appears exhausted. He seems to be having ring rust right about not, that much is clear. Bisping picking his shots wisely, and Miller is not dodging them at all. Miller fakes a takedown. Fight is stopped yet again, as Bisping claims that he has been poked in the eye. Fight resumes in a matter of seconds. Bisping striking againm landing calculated shots. Miller with a takedown attempt. Bisping is on top now and could take Miller’s back. Miller rolls, but now finds himself in full guard. Bisping is pounding away on the ground, but “Mayhem” is surviving. Miller with upkicks, but he looks incredibly exhausted, while Bisping looks incredibly fresh. Very impressive. Miller gives up his back and is getting beat badly here. The fight is stopped. Bisping with a huge victory, displaying great technique and taking a step towards the middleweight title.
