Today, Twitter launched Vine, a new service that will allow you to share video through your tweets. With Vine you’ll be able to shoot six seconds worth of video and embed it on Twitter. Editing videos are quick and simple, and the service automatically makes your videos loop…kind of like an animated GIF with sound.
In order to take a video using Vine, all you have to do is hold your finger to the screen while the app is recording. Once you remove your thumb, recording will stop. You can start recording again by putting your thumb back on the screen. This will allow Vine users to record more than one short clip at a time and they will be threaded together to one video.
Vine is currently available on iOS, and will be launched on Google Play soon.
