Amazon Warns iOS Users Not to Install Kindle App Update

Amazon updated its Kindle app for IOS yesterday afternoon. The update was supposed to fix the registration process and fix bugs. Soon after it was released, Amazon started warning users not to install the app. If the app was downloaded, entire libraries would be deleted on iPod touch, iPhone and iPad.

Kinley Pearsall, spokes person for Amazon says, “We have identified an issue with the app update that may cause your app to become deregistered. To register, enter your Amazon account e-mail address and password and all your Amazon content will be available in the cloud. We have submitted an update fix for this issue and are working with Apple to release.”

Amazon added a warning in the description for the iOS app warning users not to hit the update button.
We’re not sure when the new version will be available. Amazon should release a fixed version soon.

Update: Kindle for iOS has been updated to version 3.6.2.
