Now You Can Search for GIFs in Google Images

Animated GIFs have officially jumped the shark, as the search engine giant Google has announced that users will be able to search for animated GIFs using Google Image Search.

According to the company’s post on Google Plus, the function will be available in “Search Tools” drop down menu. Under “Any Type,” users can click on the “Animated” tab to filter through the images and Google Images will only allow GIFs.

The feature still hasn’t been implemented for most users, it seems. The features could lead to GIFs finally jumping the shark and the Internet finally moving on from this GIF trend. According to the Google Plus post, GIFs have been around for 25 years. It’s about time that we moved on.
