The much-anticipated Galaxy S4 is finally here with us and the sheer volume of new features that it packs is simply astounding. There should be something here for everyone and this includes gamers. Samsung has revealed the official snap-on controller peripheral for the Galaxy S4 smartphone and you are going to love it.
The controller looks very similar to an Xbox 360 controller, with the layout featuring asymmetrical analog sticks, four face buttons, a D-pad and four face buttons, all of which should be very familiar to Xbox owners. It also includes a retractable clamp that can house the Galaxy S4 when extended. The controller runs on two triple A batteries.
The controller features one-touch Bluetooth pairing to the S4 allowing games to be streamed onto a TV screen. Samsung throws in a phone-friendly dock when you purchase the controller freeing you to play on the go. Samsung went even further with the controller, dubbed “Game Arcade”, making it compatible with subsequent future hardware and software releases. This means that it will work with Jelly Bean 4.2 Android devices and above.
Samsung has not officially priced the controller but has promised that it will be compatible with 80 Android games upon its release in May. What games are you anticipating to play on the large 5-inch full HD S4 screen using the new game controller?
