Will Acer Launch an 8-inch Windows 8 Tablet This Fall?

It’s obvious Microsoft is getting ready to make sure the next version of Windows 8 can run on an 8-inch device. We’re just waiting on Microsoft to confirm that. New leaked images suggest Acer could be the first manufacturer to release one of the smaller tablets. The company is reportedly working on a 8-inch Windows tablet called the Acer Iconia W3.

The 8-inch tablet would feature a 1.8GHz Atom Z2760, 2GB of RAM, and would have similar software support of a PC. Since it’s Intel we know it will be running full Windows 8 Pro.The device will also have dual cameras for video conferencing and taking photos. It looks like you may also be able to buy an optional keyboard for the Acer Iconia W3.

We’re not sure of the pricing as it hasn’t been revealed, but its expected the device will be released in September.
