On September 4th at Samsung Unpacked, the company is set to announce the Galaxy Note 3, their newest smartphone for the fall.
The Galaxy Note 3 is expected to be the south korean electronics giant flagship phone. One peculiar rumor that has started circulating is that a Galaxy Note 3 “Lite” will be announced as a cheaper offering for people to choose from.
Cult of Android obtained this information from a Korean TV News report that claimed Samsung wanted to make the Galaxy Note more accessible in different markets.
Rumored features for the device could be an 8 mega-pixel camera and an LCD front panel slimming down the cheaper version.
As September 4th approaches, we’ll have a better idea on what the new Samsung smartphone has to offer. This development could be inspired by Samsung’s desire to compete with Apple. Tim Cook and his team are believed to be creating an “iPhone 5C“, a budget phone that is designed to be more consumer-friendly and provide more variation on one of Apple’s most famous items. Samsung and Apple are close competitors but we’ll keep our eyes on this rumor as the fall launch season comes closer.
