Apple announced a new series of updates for its entire line of iMac computers.Two new models have been added to product line containing a new Intel processor, graphics engine and flash storage.
The 21.5 inch model will come in two versions. One will have a 2.7 GHz quad-core i5 and Intel Iris Pro graphics while the other will have a 2.9 GHz quad-core Intel i5 and NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M with 1 GB video memory. The first version will cost $1299 while the second will be priced at $1499.
The next new addition comes as a 27 inch model. For this line of iMacs, Apple has incorporated 3.2 GHz quad-core Intel Core i5 and NVIDIA GeForce GT 755M with 1 GB video memory for the more expensive version while the cheaper version will house 3.4 GHz quad-core Intel Core i5 and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 775M with 2 GB video memory.
The new iMacs are available today to order through Apple’s retail network. This eliminates the possibility of a launch event in October leaving OS X Mavericks and the two rumored iPads as the only two major Apple products left to release.
